\n<\/span><\/strong>ICE-A-PALOOZA 2025!<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Ice-A-Palooza is February 15th. We are once again selling hoodie sweatshirts ($50), zip ups($60), long sleeve Ts($30), and knit beanie hats($30).\u00a0All proceeds go to the fireworks so we can have the best show ever!<\/div>\n
Lots of other fun things to do and support the fireworks as well.\u00a0Tell your friends!<\/div>\n


\nAPRIL 19, 2025
\n<\/span><\/strong>ADOPT A ROADWAY!<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Horsehead Lake Association’s first Adopt a Roadway trash pickup for the year was today. What a fun group of neighbors! It would have been a perfect day with 6 more people. So, 8 routes were completed by 10 people. We thank you all for the time and effort you put in and we thank Horsehead Lake Marina for their generous contribution of Conley’s donuts!<\/div>\n

\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

5:30 PM, Meet at public boat launch<\/p>\n

Begins at dusk. Location TBD, tune radio to 103.9 FM to hear the music coordinated with the fireworks!<\/p>\n

YOUNG ANGLERS FISHING TOURNAMENT<\/strong><\/h2>\n

8:30-10:00 am weigh in at sandbar. Panfish only no bass. Any child 3-15 can participate. You can pre-register name of child, age, and parent phone number by emailing me at drutter @ horseheadlake.org. I need pre-registration by July 4 at noon.<\/p>\n

AUGUST 9, 2025
\n<\/span><\/strong>POKER RUN<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Starts at noon on the sandbar.<\/p>\n

ADOPT-A-ROADWAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is an Adopt a Roadway program run through the Horsehead Lake Association. We are in our 7th year of picking up trash on roadways around the lake and can always use more hands.
\nIf you have time to help, we always like to see new participants: the next trash pick up day is Saturday July 26.
\nRoutes are no longer than 1 mile, which is 1\/2 mile in one direction and then crossing the road, 1\/2 mile back. All volunteers will have 1-2 buddies assigned to the route with them. Most routes are completed well within 2 hours.

We had 10 boats in the tournament this year with 18 participants. The following were winners:

We had 46 youth this year registered. Fun was had by all youth and adults. Thank you to Skin Deep Studio for being our sponsor this year. Please thank this business owner for her generosity.

\nHorsehead Lake Association Picnic and Annual Meeting<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Come join us for the entertaining and informative Annual Meeting and Picnic at the Martiny Township Hall pavilion, 15051 110th Ave, Rodney, MI 49342 starting at 10AM!\u00a0 In addition to our board elections, we will have guest speakers, and an equipment tour\/ Q&A \/ demonstration by the Martiny-Chippewa Fire Department, followed by a picnic and games for the kids.\u00a0 Here are some photos from last year!<\/p>\n

\nLight Up Horsehead Lake<\/strong><\/h6>\n
Last year was the first attempt and went great. Decorate your boat with lights. No preset theme. Meet at the Sandbar at 8:45pm. Dave Haywood will lead the parade of boats around the lake in the dark. Tune into 100.5fm, WHHL, for live music being DJ’d during the parade. We encourage those who want to participate, but don’t want to take their boat out, to go ahead and decorate their docks, decks, porches etc. Let’s Light Up Horsehead Lake!!!!!<\/div>\n

OCTOBER 5, 2024<\/strong><\/span>
\nColor \/ Wine Tour<\/strong><\/h6>\n

This is a great social event on the water. Meet at the Sandbar at 1:00pm. The idea behind it was to get together for maybe a “last” boat ride with friends and hopefully see some color. In the past, people would bring an extra bottle of wine for taste testing. It has grown over the years and is not just a wine tour. In fact, you don’t have to drink wine at all. Folks will usually prepare some sort of snacks and hors d’oeuvre’s to share while not having to worry about driving their boat. Pontoons tie up on the sides and Dave Haywood pilots the whole barge while you socialize with your lake community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
